Would you say the same about parts of the UK that are poorer than others?
Don't deflect from my original post in the UK jobs are advertised for all citizens - Jezza was banging on about my point well before Brexit- the gangmasters on the farms are exploiting people Bruce surely you cannot agree with that nor advertising them in the EU and not in the UK??
Now maybe stricter rules have come in ,and the seasons demand when we need the casual labour for fruit picking etc
an opportunity journalism is making hay { pardon my pun} because of Brexit!

Minimum wage is the legal starting point - and if they stay over on a farm decent accommodation at a fair price.....
So fruit growers now have to build decent quality housing on their farms for their employees, with all the servicing and amenities that that will require? They can probably use the fantasy money tree after they get the fantasy planning permission.

No if you know your history pre EU English workers had chalets on site oh and by the way it was not barns or haystacks
It was treated like a seasonal great to get away to the countryside far more backbreaking work too......
No shortage of UK workers what's so ever .....

Makes sense. Brexit was a vote to bring England back to a bygone era.

In a bygone area the horticultural/agricultural industry used UK labour - I should know spent my career in it from 1972 till retirement - loved working in the fields in a nursery environment started on £9-15p as an apprentice- ended up as a senior officer Nursery superintendent - The Dutch industry unfairly subsidised Oil heating in my era -wise closed a hell of a lot of our glasshouse Horticultural industry going bust thankfully its making an a comeback.
Unlike you I can remember the days before the common market/EU - we could prosper trading world wide on a level playing field.....
Try i playering this to end your myth -

But what level playing field? There isnt one. Anywhere.
Ask the EU commission that question ;)
they dictate proceedings while an MEP gets 2 minutes to debate their cock ups!
It an institution and who wants to live and trade in an institution which is so biased against us just look at the negotiations now - do you think they are being fair putting obstacles before the main item on the agenda =TRADE
If that was on the agenda first they put the cart before the horse to punish us for our population to stick two finger up to them - end of
They are hoping for as many referendums as they can from us to rejoin as the 2nd biggest subscriber to them!
Look at the top brass in the remain camp - any socialist there very few - just big moneymen , and land owners!!!!

No, I am asking you. What level playing field are we going to have? Its a simple question.

Simple we trade world wide to get the best prices - not restricted to EU who bargain our tariffs for us in the WTO and we pay the price and a 9 billion per year membership fee for overpriced goods!
