Well, it certainly resonated with me; I've no truck with Little-Englandism. I consider myself a Scouse-English European ahead of any concept of being "British." I'm not interested in trying to convert you and Joey, Pete. You two are more set than concrete, but hopefully there is a sizeable proportion of people out there who are now rather alarmed by the reality of hard brexit.

3, 2, 1.

You lost, get over it, 17.4m voted OUT.

Followed by, "Everything will be fine, dont fret about it"

Methuselah you know you could have posted the article instead of the website seen as the article was written last year so we didn't have to dig for it. You want us to believe your facts the the actual article or articles is always helpful.

Here is the link he refers to Bruce.

Anyway from reading the aricle and another on Reuters also from last year
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-governments-veto-powers-on-tax-idUSKBN1CT2FC

They have a dozen proposals that are up for debate, nothing else, just debate, which are to be discussed again this month. Something being tabled doesn't mean it will happen. It's up for discussion and debate. Which will likely get push back, like many of their previous proposals have.

It does appear, to pass this, they would need all of the members to agree on any proposal.

Not exactly concrete is it now?

FYI they tried this in 2011 and i believe David Cameron was one of the ones who helped block it.

Steve, you overestimate my technical abilities. I know the issues are up for debate but it indicates the thought processes. The EU project is a 'journey' and it has a way to go. Do you remember when it was a 'Common Market'? I remember all the arguments from the Europhiles that it would always be a Common Market. There were no plans for anything grander. With 27 countries, all with different cultures, languages and economies, the only way it can work is by autocratic control. It may take years, but the EU project has always been a long game.

Funny how the express is the only newspaper that thinks this will happen or that its even a plan.

Not one other reputable news agency even talks about this yet the express has published several.

The EU cannot force a nation to use the Euro and if anything some of the other members would object to any bullying. Remember each states is represented and each state gets a vote.

They would have to convince every member.

I read the EU observer, you should try it instead of the Express.......

They don’t understand. I put it down to youth, inexperience and naivety.......one day they will thank us.....

Or maybe it's far less sinister than that. Perhaps the long game is to end deep-seated distrust among former adversaries to work towards common goals that are mutually beneficial.

Sly bit of ageism there. Funny if it were the other way around there are some of you would be calling for a ban.

Hmm... I don't read the express it was a google search. Most of what you, Joey and the other brexiteers is word for word from the express and other pro brexit publications. Its a simple copy, paste and search.

I don’t like people getting banned or stopped from saying what they believe, I’m a free speech person.......

You need to read more, the world is full of periodicals..."
