What's his source? 68% eh? Well i for one wasn't consulted and I don't know anyone else who was either. 68% indeed......

Funnily enough, neither was I.

Better take care asking for proof, though. Some on here will wet their knickers if you/we do...! ;)

And a £615 million per week loss. Man, gimme that man's crystal ball...

That’s not generally how surveys or poll’s work , I think that’d be more of a referendum . Hard work to keep doing one of them everytime data analysis was required, i’d Suggest the the admin would be a nightmare.

That said I’m not sure I’ve seen those particular percentages but I think I’ve similar with slightly different question .

I think , I’m sure you’ll agree , that all estimates of the cost of leaving have it as fairly substantial. That doesn’t change your right to vote leave nor I’m sure your belief that long term it’ll work out but pretty much universally every single analysis I’ve seen has a pretty huge cost .

Putting aside the deal we offered in December with an offer of about £39 billion the governments own analysis had growth falling in all three scenarios . 5% drop with trade deal , 8% drop without an agreement and 2% if we remained in the customs union . I’m not saying they’ll necessarily be spot on but it does seem to indicate a trend.

I think the figures mentioned in the original tweet age from one of new campaigns opposing Brexit using the governments estimated fall in gdp and extrapolating to get to that . So I’d agree and say far from definitive but probably far to say that short term estimates are people generally going to be worse off.

Every time anyone asks for your workings you shrug your shoulders say you're retired and that it's not your problem?

What ARE you talking about...?

Sense of humour bypass with you at times...

In case you didn't understand (which you obviously did not), it was a reference to the same old things going round and round, from both sides actually, in this thread. My being retired has got jack all to do with it...

Indeed, it is tiring. Studies that attempt to understand the present and forecast the future are dismissed on account of studies 'always' being wrong. Surveys to understand the public are dismissed because they haven't asked each and every person in the UK. Insights into the negotiation prowess and processes are dismissed because we're not sat at the table, privvy to all that's going on.

In contrast, all that's suggested to support things actually being alright is blind faith. Brexit is coming across like a religion that can't be questioned simply because you believe.

No wonder the Tories are in a mess with their negotiations when Rudd's sidekick, Glyn Williams is one of the negotiators in the exiting department. His 'thoroughness to detail' will not be on his CV.

It is becoming more and more clear that the Tories are bending to pressure from the 'remainers' the CBI, the Institute of Directors, The Engineering federation, the Motor industry and the City of London that the UK will not really be leaving the EU. The Tories have their heads together to get a collection of words that will sound like the UK have left but they will not. The rest of the UK will more than likely look like it is in the north of the island of Ireland which will not be leaving the customs union, the single market and the ECJ jurisdiction. This could have been done and dusted 18 months ago if only the Tories didn't try and gain political capital out of 'leaving' the EU.

Uh oh, Old Blue has plugged in his Demento-tron 5000, can't wait to see what comes out

Bruce, if you read my last post, I level accusations at BOTH sides re repeat and repeat and repeat. Quote: "...it was a reference to the same old things going round and round, from both sides actually, in this thread..."

Please read my posts correctly.
