And also this:
"...He also claimed EU businesses, faced by a choice, “are more concerned with maintaining the integrity of the EU single market than any loss of access to British markets”..."

Go tell that to BMW, Mercedes, Peugeot, Citröen, and a whole other slew of EU car manufacturers (to highlight just one area of business), and the attendant thousands of people likely to become unemployed if that stance is followed through. Why are gobshites like him in ANY kind of position of power?

The kind of attitude this guy has shown is EXACTLY why attitudes of those who voted out have hardened, in this thread at least. European dickheads!!!

Oh right, two wrongs make a right Brexit, la la land, and always knew it was Europeans rather than European Union that was the issue!

Only reiterating what many of our very own businesses are and have been muttering. And European Union has always been much more than a extravagant trade deal. It’s a case of told you so!

1. It's not a case of that at all. I am illustrating the kind of person we have to deal with. Is that simple enough for you to understand...?

2. Missed the point again. He talks of a loss of access to British markets. So that's OK, fine, with all those companies that presently ship a considerable amount of goods to the UK. There will be no repercussions on THEM? Are you SERIOUS? Do you think that is so...?

Please, read my post properly, and don't respond with the usual trite response...

It was clear enough, its loud and clear,

Fair bet that he and the wider EU have consulted the likes of BMW, Mercedes, Peugeot and Citröen, many times on this issue.

Its a fundumental of the EU and it’s one of the negatives labelled at European Union that it favours large Business because of lobbying in the EU chambers, and acts in the best interest of business over the needs of it citizens.

European dickheads!!!
I guess we are getting to the core of Brexit point, a sense of unhappyness and something is going to get the blame. ' the europeans'.

I think we need negotiators to go in shouting at them horrid foreigners, calling them dicks and so on. That'd show 'em.

If only - our negotiators haven't been given instructions as to whether they should be called "horrid foreigners" or "dicks" as the Cabinet is split on that issue, as Boris's leaked six-page dick strategy letter will reveal in tomorrow's Daily Mail.

Yes those Italians on LBC telephoning in saying how luck how envious they were the we had our own currency, and voted to leave the EU - music to my ears lol
Youth unemployment in Italy at 45 percent in the south while the EU had done nil to stop economic migration yet in France and Austria funded barriers !

Of course, because the problems in Italy have only happened since the Syrian refugee crisis. They've had a dysfunctional political system for as long as I can remember so it's a bit rich trying to pass the blame onto Brussels.

They come in from many countries Bruce - the Italians are sick of it sick of the Euro, tired of the EU, also mentioned was president Macrons popularity in France is falling as France are becoming an anti EU electorate in the future the most sounding thing was the EU beurorcts in the commission tend to just put their fingers in their ears on any set back e.g. Our Brexit in particular!
The EU point out the Irish border while other borders in the EU are in a far bigger mess and they do very little financial wise to stem economic migration or even illegal migration!
Begs the question why do we pay into this organisation?
Other EU countries envy our stance of the out vote, even Macron stated he would never hold a referendum in France as it was to iffy!

4. I guess we are getting to the core of Brexit point, a sense of unhappyness and something is going to get the blame. ' the europeans'.

1. Good.

2. Well if they do, I simply cannot fathom that those large companies are prepared to lose their UK market...

3. I do not know enough about that, so will refrain from making a comment.

4. Again, you miss the point I made. There are people at the top of the tree in the EU (Juncker, Verhofstadt (sp), Barnier, and this latest guy) who appear to me to simply want to dictate to the UK without any reference to the reality of the situation. It's not a case of blame, but identifying the dickheads who are trying to dictate to us. From 2:15 onwards is perhaps somewhat apposite, in terms of past and present comparisons:

(Cue the 'Little Englander' and 'British Empire' accusations!) ;) :p

Do you?

It seems to be making you angry more often than not when I read it.

If you think you can see anger in a 2-dimensional medium...

Give over! The whining of the remainers since the referendum is hilarious. All the more so because what they think, and post, counts for not one iota in the great scheme of things. And you think I get angry about it? Yours is but one further addition to the hilarity.

Now, go and be angry at this reply...

So what you are saying is that this response to a European crisis caused by Tory policy is to do the same as the last time that Tory policy got us into a European crisis; ie: boot them out at the next election.

Good to see we agree.
