Based on absolutely nothing, I would guess yes. But that said, we shouldnt have a re run, rather get the best deal we can, get that ratified by Parliament, then focus on repairing the fractious society we seem to have in the country these days.

I understand that, and I don't think a second vote would be in the best interests of your country at this point.

It was just a hypothetical thinking out loud post. Seems like the staunch Leavers feel like they got a snatch and grab result.

Dont confuse the (2) staunch leavers on here with the general population of the UK mate. (That isnt a dig at them btw, both are far more informed than many)

Although the vote was a single issue, the reasons why folk voted either way were based on a myriad of reasons. Some will be "solved" by leaving, many though, will not be.

Genuine question for Leavers - does it not irk you and have you pause for a second thought when you realise you agree with complete arsehats like Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, David Davis et al about this matter?

Missed one out Tubes.

This is a key point. We are where we are. We are Leaving. We must make the best of it and come together as a country. However, this is something that the Remain supporters need to embrace.......

No, we had a vote, the vote for Leave was the highest vote ever obtained in a vote in the U.K. To describe this as a snatch and grab is to deny democracy, you know that thing you always bang a drum about.........

You had like 83% of the electorate turnout in 1950.

You'd think something like the immediate and foreseeable future of the country as a whole (versus a politician) would have brought more people out.

I wonder if Boris will be trying to get support of rees-mogg for leadership challenge....try to unite the right of the party against whoever is the 'moderate' candidate should may go

Assume that's a joke.....the idea that Johnson and Rees Mogg would be standing up to defend the rights of the 17 million Leave voters is hilarious! You really couldn't find a greater disparity between these two and the average Leave voter if you tried

Indeed. I would like to see some form of law, difficult I know, that stops politicians saying they will give all things to everyone, without being fully costed and actually introduced upon victory......

And such a law would have Boris jailed for 20 years for the shameful lies he told about the extra £350m a week for the NHS!!

And the winners received 4,000,000 votes less than the Brexit vote.........

And he would be joined by Corbyn and his free university and reimbursement of tuition fees...........

No chance. It won't happen. The economic .implications are too serious, the Irish border and the chaos of the Leave coalition. One or most likely a combination of all those will ensure we don' leave. worst case for me is an extended transition period within which the general public will wise up.

Likewise I will never give up believing it should.be stopped as I care about the future for my kids.

Did you know there was a huge correlation between the areas that voted Leave and the areas booted up on anti-depressants. What does that tell you?
