Certainly seems like the most prominent reason being put forward.

How have you come to this? 17.4 million is a lot of people to ask. Maybe you have seen half a dozen interviews on the news. Immigration may have been part of people decision but I'm sure they considered other things too.

You'd think it was by the way some are acting...

Hysteria drives sales/website clicks.

Nailed for me.
The hysteria was prior to the event, we are now in the reality. The results are clear for all to see, the currency (for example) was already low because of the turmoil things like referendums cause I.e. £-$ being at 1.44 now we are where we are its at 1.37, yet last night when it looked as though we were remaining it climbed above 1.50. Time will tell but you reap what you sow, unfortunately for many it appears a generation above has put my generation where it doeant want to be. But we shall see.

Cameron will be regretting not lowering the voting age, and where are Johnson and gove we now need answers I suspect they are shitting themselves because they don't have any.

Wow. Mark Carney has said £250bn of additional funds has been made available to stabilise markets. The IMF have recommended massive liquidity injections. And you think the recovery is complete? It hasn't started yet mate.

The markets will settle very soon once the greedy hedgers quickly lose out and GTF. It will be short term pain for long term gain and we have opened hope for the rest of Europe to break free from the EU web.

The pound to dollar will rise soon. Very short term price rises, mainly oil related sales will likely occur but the hysteria is utter nonsense. And interestingly the hysteria is largely being generated by some of the clowns who thought we should have took up the euro back in the day lol

Britain is stronger than most realise.

Singapore have had a technocratic dictatorship for the duration of that period. There's a lot to suggest that this dictatorship has ensured things are very well run, but they've also stamped down on various freedoms that I suspect we take for granted. They aren't perhaps the example many on here would choose to follow.
I know there are many differences but there's some light at the end whatever happens. I wasn't drawing a direct parallel.

The Tory Party have never given a sh1t about ordinary working people. It's two fingers up to to all the fwah-fwahs

Yes, "stick it to the establishment", instead of going pro-Euro Tory-lite, we'll vote for full unfettered right-wing Eurosceptic nasty Tory instead.

Stick it to the man! Farage and Boris are common blokes like us, like a good pint, blah blah.

I hope you're right. Naturally, I'm concerned about the severity of the short-term pain (and also how long it will take to get back on track), but I'd be delighted to have my concerns proved unfounded.
