When those of us who voted to join the EEC did so, we didn’t have a follow up vote of how we should enter, nor indeed on the terms, because we never voted to join. If the remainers lost any further vote, they would then question not only the how, but the when, and the who, it would be a neverendum......
True but you could vote for an anti eu party..

But you did have a follow up vote on staying in.

The scary thing is, if you work on the assumption that most people buy newspapers that confirm their beliefs and thinking, then a sizeable chunk of the British population fully agree with them.
