Google the actual vote Bruce 17 .5 million voted OUT - that did not mean anything other than!I'm afraid that isn't true at all Joe, either in the Janet and John version (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa.../20160523_Leaflet_EASY_READ_FINAL_VERSION.pdf) or the full version (https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa.../517014/EU_referendum_leaflet_large_print.pdf).
It says, quite clearly, that leaving the EU creates uncertainty and risk, it doesn't saying that leaving 100% means leaving the customs union.
I've quoted the relevant section for you:
Voting to leave the EU would create years of uncertainty and potential economic disruption. This would reduce investment and cost jobs.
The Government judges it could result in 10 years or more of uncertainty as the UK unpicks our relationship with the EU and renegotiates new arrangements with the EU and over 50 other countries around the world.
Some argue that we could strike a good deal quickly with the EU because they want to keep access to our market. But the Government’s judgement is that it would be much harder than that – less than 8% of EU exports come to the UK while 44% of UK exports go to the EU.
No other country has managed to secure significant access to the Single Market, without having to:
• follow EU rules over which they have no real say
• pay into the EU
• accept EU citizens living and working in their country
Let's leave and a negotiated trade deal or leave on WTO trade rules in which the EU would lose more than us we pay 8-10 billion to trade free every year so she needs to be stronger or get rid of her and put a brexiteer in as PM
As for your stance the Liberal Cable stance they have not moved in the polls as they are going against the democracy of the citizens of the UK - it's time to walk away from these farcical negotiations which are being dictated by the EU unelected elite!
