EUobserver....
On a coin toss, the toss of a coin, not who or where is best, but the toss of a coin..........the EU in action.....

Wow way to spin it to make them look incompetent.

Come on Pete did you read the article or skip to the part where it said coin toss?

They couldn't break a tie after a vote left them on equal standing.

It seems from the article that they had a bunch of countries that were graded, voted, and kept or eliminated.

Maybe both locations were excellent and they couldn't decide and break the tie. What else would you want them to do?

I do not see any articles anywhere on the web of either country complaining on the outcome or its fairness so maybe its your anti EU agenda yet again picking on anything you can.

You act like Trump and his administration sometimes deflecting the shambles May and her government are to make it about the EU.

The East Europeans know it was a stitch up by the West Europeans. One of them even refused to vote as a result. I couldn’t care less what the EU wishes to do with its institutions, but I would have thought that criteria would have been the defining answer and not the spin of a coin. Perhaps we could do the same with any Brexit bill, or War, or Elections. If the U.K. decided where to put one of its institutions on the spin of a coin there would be justifiable outrage......

How's Boston, Lincs doing these days Pete? Brexit is presumably helping those folk out? Lots of low skilled jobs created? Low inflation so that their pound goes a long way in the shops? Hopefully their bananas are straight if nothing else (and they won't have to listen to Polish in their local Tesco).

I have no idea Bruce, just as you probably have no idea of places where you don’t live.....

They didn't though - they weighed it up and had two equally credible outcomes based on the criteria they set.

It had to go somewhere as you couldn't split the 'prize', and they had no other criteria to judge it on, so they flipped a coin.

You're looking for things to criticise when they aren't there.

And you would be the first to complain if something like that happened here......

Big City boy beating up on small town location, eh, Bruce...

Disgraceful...

Here’s another idea Tubey, instead of the all powerful EU spinning a coin, perhaps they could have allowed the staff affected by the move to have their own vote on the two cities, after all it is they that have to move themselves and their families there. Mind you, I’m not too sure that the EU let’s its actual people decide anything....

But Pete that's the very thing again you say it was a simple flip of the coin but you know that's not true.

Again read the article. It said it took a vote on various locations and i'm guessing based on criteria it was felt a lot of those were not suitable. But when it came to these two cities they were split on the vote.

Both cities obviously were attractive based on whatever criteria was defined.

The "spin of the coin" as you put it was to separate them. I don't think anyone will lose any sleep over it except maybe you? Oh that's right you don't care though even though you seem to care enough to spend time lambasting their technique.

Also you mentioned to Tubey about asking their employees where they would like to go really Pete? You think that's how any business or organisation works when moving?

Not on your life Pete companies and organisations move all of the time despite what their employees think. I would imagine the committee representing each organisation were probably part of any vote anyway but even if they were not it doesn't matter as their boss moved them to were they felt best.
