Right, then, like i said you lower the tone when someone has facts that disagree with you. You revert to name calling and when called out you dress it up or say you were misunderstood. Arrogant yet again.

Either way its not just my opinion maybe if you looked beyond the right leaning conservative news source you would see more about the banks and their decisions is happening.

Type it into google even and you will see the top 12 or 13 results are on that very nature.

But sure everyone that disagrees with Brexit is simplistic then right? and experts are wrong.

Arrogant

Ok, when you say the banks are leaving, what does that mean ? Their head offices, all of their staff ? Are they going to a higher or lower taxation regime. Which bits of the banks need to leave as most of the U.K. based banks work is not EU related. So my comment about simplistic is about your ‘banks are leaving’ without stating exactly what may be leaving. So try answering the above.....and again, even though I said your argument and not you personally was ‘simplistic’ you still manage to suggest that “everyone that disagrees with Brexit is simplistic then right? and experts are wrong.”.......

The HQ and main base of operations. That's according to the dozens of websites mentioning this issue.

Some of them will leave a much smaller office in the UK for their sterling and trading etc...

In other words most of the staff not needed for their UK operations will either move or be made redundant.

Again google Banks and Brexit you will see a dozen or so articles from all reputable sources. Stray from your usual sources. Some of you brexit folk seem to be like the fox news folk here one or two sources everyone else has an agenda it seems.

As you told me before go look it up right?

Either your baiting me or you simply are ignoring the data and information out there. You could have looked it up you know. Its obvious were you get your news everything is rosey for Britain and the banks and jobs and borders don't matter and the EU are bullys and greedy.

You said "and you remainers call Leavers ‘simplistic’........" implying shoe is on the other foot right?

Also can you not see why someone might call someone who supports brexit simplistic the very fact you don't seem to know anything about the banks leaving?

The very fact that you don't think its an issue jsut shows how rose tinted glasses you may have on.

You didn’t answer the questions. Additionally, many of these banks are not even British and already have a HQ’s somewhere else, so again, what is it that will move, even Moody’s believe the effect will be minimal.....and considering that these banks have invested huge sums of money and years in their staff, to believe that they will just up sticks and move is naive in the extreme......

I am simply going to do what you have tried several times and say google it or look it up.

There is no reasoning with you. You live in a blinkered world of your own opinion and simply its boring trying to make a point because even if i posted the six easily found well written good sourced articles in here you would find away to say they were BS

You rarely post sources for your facts and yet we are to believe you but you insist we prove what we type.

Anyway my work day is over and its 80 degrees outside time to go enjoy the sun. Have a good weekend Pete...

And you......

TBH its a bit much to state that "we survived without this lot before we can do it again" - British history from the Reformation onwards is basically a long list of occasions when British troops, British fleets and British money had to intervene in European affairs because some cretin or other was trying to take the whole continent over and thereby pose a grave risk to our existence.

Abandoning Europe to the Europeans guarantees we will have to do it again before too long, and its a shame that the Yes campaign was so useless because its the one genuine fact that they could have used to trump the No campaign.
Cameron dared to suggest exactly this and the Tory rags printed the headlines about WWIII (which he never said nor suggested) and lumped the entire thing in the mythical 'project fear' envelope. Job done.

99% are in prison

The ones that haven’t got jobs shouldn’t be here

The ones who speak English are ok.

We’ve been told in this thread over and over and over again that people understood what they were voting for yet here we are again people talking about issues that don’t relate to EU migrants.

I think we can see from that small clip that with those people racism and xenophobia played no part .

Jesus wept.

If you bring up the fact that many in this country simply didn't understand what they were actually voting for, or were completely clueless as to the complexities of the issue at hand, you're called a patronising remainer.....

There were obviously millions like these limited individuals who put their cross in the Leave box.

It doesn't matter if the banks aren't British. And it isn't naive to think they'll relocate staff. Top bankers will often relocate to different countries - being rich makes that easy. For lower level jobs, it's easy to re-hire in a different country. Going to Dublin will save them wage costs.

Estimates for banking job losses in London are between 4000 and 200,000 from just the banks themselves. But so what, they're just bankers, eh? But what about the knock-on effect for businesses in and around the banking sector such as hospitality industry, couriers, cabbies, cleaners, security etc? They'll lose trade and maybe jobs too.

If we lose our London-based euro clearing houses (which is a possibility) the country will lose around 80,000 jobs and up to £80bn per year.

Inconvenient facts...

EU immigrants pay more into the exchequer than what they take out in benefits. (£20bn net)
As well as 'sending money home' temporary economic immigrants will pay tax, rent, utilities and buy food and clothes. They'll go to our pubs, clubs, restaurants, cinemas, etc etc... a lot of what they earn helps the economy tick. Since 2008, immigrants have been sending less and less money back home.
LSE research showed that areas with an influx of Eastern European immigrants had a decrease in crime.
And I'll not even start on how immigration is keeping the NHS from imploding...

I'd rather we kicked out many of the natives and kept the migrants tbh.
