Perhaps someone should tell them then, cos at the moment, they dont seem that arsed.

It’ll all change by Christmas. They have to find a way out without either side losing face. So they’ll probably stick with the ‘no progress’ mantra next week then they can claim that progress has been made by Christmas......

Isn't about 50% of our trade with the EU and about 5% of theirs is with us? Wouldn't that indicate we would be far more effected by having no deal?

I get your point about the surplus but I think you are ignoring the point above which is more important.

The U.K. is the EU’s largest export destination. If they don’t want it then so be it, but this is all about the politics now...

You are looking at it the wrong way. Because we're so dependent on that trade for profit, anything threatening it hits us to our core. Because we rely on selling to the EU, any threat to that hurts us more than it does the EU.

It's not a strength; it's a very obvious weakness.

The trade doesn’t go away, it just happens on WTO rules, which means that because of the surplus they would pay more tariffs to us then we would to them, financially we could recompense our exporting companies and put the excess in the bank........they really have no leverage......

I said in a previous page that it's all about money to them now. We are gradually seeing what's behind the mask. And some believe it is still the right thing to be part of that organisation...

Do you think it's possible to dislike a politician but like the institution? Or is it impossible to dislike Jeremy Hunt yet like the NHS (for example)?

How would the government recompense exporting companies?

Indeed. You do know that most guns in this country come from Europe........

Are you suggesting that UK border force are going to start searching all vehicles coming into the country ? I don't see how us leaving the EU will stop firearms being smuggled into the country , vehicles are searched at present whether they're driven by British , EU or foreign citizens. I can't see how things will dramatically change unless you think they will be a huge difference? Maybe we'll spend that 350m on hundreds of new staff , I suppose if we increase the budget by about 20% we can be back to where we where a couple of years ago .

So there’ll be no change then, so you are happy, yes....
