What if nothing changes, what if we agree free trade deals, which we will, she's just looking at a way to get a split again, it was obvious she'd pull this card out if we decided to leave.

You what, I'm not arsed, Scotland can split from us if they want, it will be the biggest mistake they ever make, that country would be deep in the crap if they had left, their independent economy was built around oil, which has crashed in price, 10 years time most cars will be battery powered or hydrogen powered, we are going to come to rely less and less on oil
that is true.

I just think theoretically, to lose both EU and scotland within a certain amount of time would be a hell of a lot more damaging than simply voting out of the EU. Basing that on nothing but gut feeling though haha

Depends really mate.

The problem is that we could have voted Remain and still been taken under by the massive problems that could be right round the corner - even this year. Voting Leave will barely quarantine it , probably not at all.

Today is big not just because of the huge change of direction for UK politics but the massive knock on effects. A shock this big could have major market reprocussions because whole most firms will have had Plan A and B contingencies some will have gone all in on Remain - it depends how many were that greedy

So all the brexit has done is given us a sneak peek at problems that were on the way anyway

Which part exactly? Because that is pretty much bang on ISIS's aim

Suggest you read the post that I replied to again. But to help you along, this is utter, utter, rubbish: "...So has 52% of the UK been pseudo-recruited by ISIS?..."

What a load of crap!!! Am I recruited in any way by ISIS? Whoever posted that needs to take a good look at himself... Reacting like a bear with a sore arse...

True.

I am just saying the environemnt has changed and scotland as a whole want E membership they can then challenge independance knowing they would have full support from EU, probably gaining the Euro in the process.

I just mean they have a point if they overwhelmingly voted in favour of remaining. If it was split or leave edged out slightly or whatever then it would be a none starter on that basis.

You can't have your cake and eat it.

The game is the game. Scotland's people were asked'

"Should Scotland be an independent country?

Turnout of 84% - 2,001,926 (55.3%) voting against independence.

That means, no independent vote on EU - which they knew was coming.

I did read the post - your reply was unclear as to which half of it you thought was rubbish

Either that or a chance to put a rocket under a few arses of individuals that thought learning nothing from 2008 and the bullying of Greece

Can't be overstated how big that vote was last night.

.... and the rest. This is the biggest rejection of the political class in my lifetime, even more than Corbyn's election was. They were all on one side of this debate, had overwhelming resources, all the endorsements, and lost.

Mary Hen gave a very powerful speech earlier, reminding the EU that Scotland voted to Remain and that a second independence referendum should now be pursued. Found time to thank David Cameron for his service, Nicola really is quite the impressive statesperson.

Absolutely. That referendum should have been impossible to lose but the Remain vote failed to be positive. A happier, more engaging and promising campaign there would have won it doing handstands.

The Leave campaign was full of hideous toxic message but what it also had was a message of taking something back (however hollow that may be) , of ownership. Other than one slightly bonkers bloke outside Paddington the other day giving out stickers I barely saw anyone engaging with the public; hubris cost the Remain campaign in spectacular style. That Obama interview was so supremely poorly judged too

To even imply an ISIS connection with a vote to leave is disingenuous. That is my point. I should have been clearer. I was just disgusted with the inference from the other poster, that's all.
