Indeed....."I join the Prime Minister in expressing condolences I'm sure of the whole house to the family of the police officer who lost his life over the weekend in Northern Ireland."........was he the only person who was unaware that the policeman was still alive, I couldn't believe it when he said those words.......
Especially when he's sat up gladly in his hospital bed!

I see the white paper has been produced......

Can we just take a moment to note some great Labour MPs that are willing to stand up against the Brexiteer bully-boys and vote against Article 50.
  • Geraint Davies.
  • David Lammy.
  • Tulip Siddiq.
  • Owen Smith.
  • Catherine West.
  • Daniel Zeichner.
I'm glad some of them are showing a bit of backbone.

In what way......

  1. The EU are now firmly in the driving seats regarding negotiations. They know full well that any retrospective offer of a deal has to be voted on by parliament. As far as they're concerned - they can offer us pretty much nothing and it's up to Parliament to put the country into a difficult situation - which any self respecting representative of the people will refuse point blank to do.
  2. The US are now going to offer us an abysmal free trade deal, knowing that a few of the Tory snipers are desperate not to be shown as wrong. Simply not going to happen.
Yes to the Single Market.

In what way......
In that we will be separating ourselves from employment/working rights protection. Like I said yesterday.

We will be separate from the EU, and will be basically standing alone in the world. Not sure that's wise in this current political climate.

I don't really trust the tories to have our best interests at heart.

Times have moved on mate. No political party has anything to gain by undermining existing rights. Standing alone in the world is a little bit extreme don't you think when we have old allies and partners queuing up to do trade deals and the commonwealth countries will also be knocking on the door. We are not turning our backs on Europe, we will still trade with them, we will still be friends and allies, we just will not be beholding to EU majority voting, EU originated laws, EU courts, and uncontrolled immigration. We are just going to do what we did before.....there are too many people afraid of standing on our own feet, and I struggle to understand their fears tbh......

This is just negotiations. Groucho was talking about something a bit deeper......

If you mean the US gov. then this suggests to me that you believe Donald Trump, a proven liar.
