Apparently you can't even trust government documentation when it says it will carry out the will of the people......
I still cannot fathom the approach taken by the government. They hold a referendum, one where the result was far from certain (compare to the Scot Ref where Remain was always going to win, or that AV ref), and instead of just saying 'look, you're entitled to vote either way, and yes, I can see why you might want to leave, but here's some actual facts, and here's our concerns about what it might be like if we leave', they peddle a stack of lies and half-truths (which of course the Leave side did too, but it was up to them to sway voters, so they were bound to be sensationalist).

Genuinely think a lot of people voted Leave purely out of contempt for the government.

did not say that on the ballot paper three months of propaganda from both sides the OUT voters won if it had have been 70-30 the same Remain politicians would be making the same arguments fact?

Sorry, read it twice, don't understand what you've written.

Perhaps, but I also believe a lot of people voted remain because of the obvious threats and project fear.......anyway the vote is done, we are destined to leave and all that's left is the toy throwing from the pram antics of those who didn't like the result. I hope that when negotiations start that everyone gets behind the government to get the best deal for the UK, but I fear that this is a forlorn wish........

Unlikely Pete. You look at the Guardian, and every article that shows a positive is always tinged with a ' Yeah but...'.
