I just sent 3 examples of where other people broke it down like that. Do you think I just decided to throw some random numbers in there for no reason? You strange person.
You’re the one making up your own method of reporting transfer fees in a system different to everyone else. THAT is weird

Just three spots that mention roughly the same figures totalled up:

Not saying they're all reputable but there's no smoke without fire. Also, if you don't believe the fee given to Raiola...

I'm not saying he isn't worth the money either (@TheBigIguana) I was just adding some perspective as to why some other teams didn't get him. However, must also add, where he goes is down to the player so we don't know who did/didn't match the numbers.

@bol-uk

Read that if you can manage you thick pig.

Only source? There are literally 3 right there. Were you dropped on your head as a child?
ffs, mate, they are talking about the deal not the fee. The transfer was 20 mil, you insist on bringing his dad and his agent fees into it fair enough but the wages do not matter as ALL transfers have wages but they are NEVER mentioned when discussing the transfer fee ONLY YOU DO IT.

Christ, you really were dropped on your head weren't you.

For Erling Haaland to commit to Dortmund they had to offer £45m in fees and £36m in wages over 4.5 years otherwise he wouldn't sign. How can the wages be irrelevant if he doesn't sign for a club unless they match what he wants?

It's okay if you're struggling with all of this, I don't hold it against you. Everyone else seems to have understood the original point I was making as to why some other teams might not have signed him.

Hhmm more insults!

ALL DEALS ARE PRETTY MUCH LIKE THAT!
You really think the players do not agree a wage before they sign?Sigs signed the deal without knowing how much he was being paid, his agent didn't negotiate the salary? Really? He would still have signed if we offered him £30k PW? No, he wouldn't.

Mate it is standard practice but in the Erling situation has been made very public.

Anyway, your obsession is derailing this thread. I am making dinner for my kids. Life goes on

@DanB90 @TheBigIguana

Sorry to bring you guys back into this but did either of you find what I was explaining about the cost Haaland's transfer confusing? As I think I've given this poor man a brain aneurysm.

There is nothing confusing other than me pointing out to you that all transfers have the same fees attached (maybe not father) but agent and wages. However, when discussing transfer fees, it is only the actual value of sale that is stated . You can then read into the details of the deal and find the agents fees and salary, of course you can but that is not what people ever refer to when talking transfers.

And massive lol at you getting back up ffs, playground stuff going on here.

It's not back up, just wondering why you were struggling so much.

The original question referred to why did no one else buy him if he only cost £20m.

I merely pointed out he didn't cost just £20m.

It could not be simpler.

Putting his wages in as part of the cost is a bit odd as it gets paid over time so should be treated a bit differently. But not so odd that it doesn't make sense. The money is guaranteed so you can't make the deal if you aren't prepared to pay.

£20m transfer fee
£8m per year wages for 4.5 years (£36m)
£15m to Mino Raiola
£10m to Haaland's dad

So that's £81m for him. He's brilliant and RBL know that but they're smart with their money and weren't ever paying that.
This is the post that started it, you stated he was 81 million and I stated that no one includes salary when they show the transfer fee of a player. It really is simple mate. Going by your "logic" Gylfs trasnfer was 71million when we ALL know it was 45.

Nope, you said he cost "quote" 81mil which he didn't

Arrgh, cooking to be done.

Better luck next time though
