What a brilliant player.

Just wish he was in a Royal Blue Jersey.

The RS hate him of course, so he will do for me.
Back in the late 70s early 80s i used to Watch Liverpool, United and Everton (Kendall's mid 80s team) and appreciate brilliant football. I was slightly jealous i suppose and wanted City to share some success by winning a cup, that would have done me as the 76 League cup win was a distant memory as a 12 year old lad. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I'd see us playing like we are and winning trophies each year for the last 11 years. I still have to pinch myself every now and again to realise I'm not dreaming.

We won't always be winning trophies but for now they(City) have surpassed all my hopes and dreams. Loved the club just as much back in the day of winning F all though.

We know that feeling.

At least your lads never stopped going, even in the 3rd tier.

My friend, I knew a Dublin Man City fan who travelled to see ye, like I did for Everton, on overnight ferries.

He was there through your toughest years. When my dear Dad was dying in 08, guess who was in the same ward.

Sadly he has now also passed on. RIP John. A really lovely person.

I don't begrudge your success in the least. Keep those noisy neighbours quiet!! ?

Respect to you brother.

Are you getting more tourists coming though?

Liverpool home games are populated by hoards of Norwegians, and other none UK glory hunters.

Thanks pal.

The tourists have been coming gradually year on year since we first started winning trophies in 2011, especially for Champions League games. I've had a season ticket for many years but I've had to give it up due to cost this season, I just can't afford it. Still go to odd games though and i have a ticket v Brighton which I'm looking forward to.

I miss going to home league and cup games but the club don't care if i don't go because 'Johnny come lately' glory hunter will take my seat and a lot of old skool blues have been and are being priced out, sadly.

Thing that annoys me the most is the club sell plenty of match day tickets to online ticket agencies who charge a small fortune, hence us dubbed as the 'Emptihad'. And i get cheeky young know nowt upstarts tryna take the p!ss when they don't go to watch United and Liverpool themselves. Lol.

I used to love the night games at Maine Road mate, there was always something special about them.

A cracking curry in one of the old skool, tiny curry houses in Rusholme, a few pints of Holts, in the Albert, off Wilmsow Road and then a walk to the ground, dodging the bricks that got lobbed at you on the way.

It really was something to look forward too.

I still pop into the Albert when I`m in Manchester, proper back street boozer, with a real mix of patrons - " wanna buy a lap top mate " lol

My first ever away game was at Maine Road....my first ever away league game was too. Great place to start.
When I was a kid, I used to go with my best mate and his dad when Everton were away. Used to go into the Kippax.
The main thing I remember was the amount and size of the dog crap on the way to the ground. Must have had dogs the size of donkeys.
Their older (true) fans have been through the mill over the years and deserve the success they're getting. My mate until very recently was always thankful of getting to 40 points.
