Dixie's record will be safe for all of our lifetimes, I'm sure. Injuries and rotation will play a part but I just don't think anyone in the modern game has the capacity to score 60 goals in a league season. It might be interesting to see if he can get to 60 across all competitions. I think that will be a push, but is more realistic.
 

The talk of Dixie's record btw, (1) I don't think he'll break it, strikers go through peaks and troughs in front of goal and (2) you could probably consider it broken if he got over 54, given Dean got 60 over the course of a 42 game season. 60 x (38/42) = 54.3. Still though, don't think he'll get that either.

Anything close to 40 would be incredible.
