Not a great surprise you struggle with the news if you don't realise that it's not extinction rebellion producing the study, they're just drawing attention to it.

Yeah, it's become apparent that AMOC's now fubar, well before expected, but theories as to how it'll actually effect us have been thin on the ground afaik, so I posted this.

Winter? Not yet imo mate, they've been tame recently. Extreme wind maybe, but not cold. Yet.

Winter 2021 seemed to be the best one in a while. Really cold at times and more snow than recent years. Last year was hopeless. Went to Scotland in Jan/Feb and there was next to no snow (although there was high pressure sitting over the UK for a long spell). No new clear trends yet, other than generally warmer as predicted with climate change.

Yeah, 2021 was a reasonable one, I forgot about that. Even though the World's getting warmer, with amoc faltering, we could get colder Winters more appropriate for our latitude, as well as more storms.
