Why should they be let off eg the sentences for causing a death being leveled up to ten years like a motorist .'...... Imagine the extra taxes to be gained by treating themIike any other road users ?If they get caught by the police they also get fined. Fact is, a cyclist on urban roads will very unlikely hit 30mph.
Also, whilst on very very rare occasions cyclists have been known to kill pedestrians, the impact doesn't come close to that of a vehicle. Nowhere near.
