keep up if possible, i think i said the global impact of mankinds co2 emissions were miniscule...anyway, i agree with your point about where trees should be planted and as to whether its suitable for them to flourish, i know some botanists who planted about 5,000 saplings on the shore at Waterloo/Crosby at no small cost and wouldn`t you know, the first tide that came in washed the lot away. think about it.

You just made that up, didn`t you ?

If they were going to plant anything, they`d plant Marram Grass, which assists in stopping the coastal erosion of sand dunes.

Plus, even as a lay person, I know that there isn`t a single part of the shore at Waterloo / Crosby that is suitable for planting trees, as it`s either sand / mud or both combined and wholly unsuitable for planting trees.

I know that shoreline very well, as I run on it.

Stop making stuff up, you weirdo.

You've been on holiday have you not ?LOL

As soon as bicycles emit emissions I'm sure they'll pay "road" tax. Until then, they'll pay the same as other zero emission forms of transport.
Why the money wasted on cycle lanes they refuse to use ....etc etc plus downhill the speed limiti it is broken by the lycro brigade .....
Why should they disobey the highway code ? With no fines ?

i nearly peed myself reading that mate. ? you are messing, aren`t you!

We need to concentrate on what a botanist said 15 years ago instead of just about every other climate scientist since.

I'm weighing it up. On one hand, we have the overwhelming consensus of earth's scientific community. On the other we have a random internet weirdo who can't spell or point an apostrophe in the right direction who says its a leftist conspiracy. I'm really not sure which way I'm going to go on this one, that David Bellamy argument was compelling to be honest

Not at all.

Also the tide comes in and out roughly every 12 hrs apart.

You’d need an army of people, to plant 5000 saplings, before the tide came back in and washed every single one away.
how were they supposed to know that? they`re Botanists not marine scientists!

If they get caught by the police they also get fined. Fact is, a cyclist on urban roads will very unlikely hit 30mph.

Also, whilst on very very rare occasions cyclists have been known to kill pedestrians, the impact doesn't come close to that of a vehicle. Nowhere near.
