Bold statement by Starmer, it will cost him popularity among the gammon but it should be applauded by all. Now let's see the action.

Why should this statement be applauded? Surely results should be applauded, not empty words. Labour have already pledged to waste £22bn on frigging carbon capture - the biggest scam technology going. Even the Guardian are against that white elephant FFS.

As far as I’m concerned, the climate is the most critical problem of our time and the entire world economy should’ve been pivoted to addressing it long ago, but here we are. With non-entities like Starmer in charge, we’ll just continue the slow walk to managed oblivion, as seems to be the plan.

The COP has been an utterly depressing experience this time round and I'm clinging to some form of hope after that scrotum was elected in America. Carbon capture has viable possibilities, but is unlikely to be little more than a band aid fossil field burning and blue hydrogen production while we hopefullymove electolosis tech forward, but shouldn't be thrown out completely.

Having reviewed much of the rest of COP and the lack of world leaders even turning up I was delighted to hear Starmer make an aggressive speech towards climate goal. Of course, now we need to see action or it will be nothing more than a pretty speech.

Don’t worry Super Ed Miliband is in charge…we’re screwed aren’t we…..

Every house in Britain should have solar panels, for the two days a year it's actually sunny, sod off growing crops, stuck up wind turbines .

Comical damaging the economy in order to virtue signal.

If preventing climate change is a serious goal, it's a global initiative needed - the uk doing stuff means squat except for PR and ofc making everyone pay for it

Yeah because solar panels are only operative for two days of a year in the UK.

Jog it on Boris, no one takes you seriously

that fat bag of bellends never ran or cycled much neither. 10 seconds in front of his press pals and then back to the bar.

no wonder he's some sort of reverse robin hood figure, stealing from the poor and giving to himself. Odious toad. As is boris. ;)
