The club didn't get rid of Gibbo after his antics, so I can't see them shipping Valencia back to West Ham.
He represents the club, he is highly paid by the club, the club sell jerseys with his name on the back. It's embarrassing by association.
Hierarchy is irrelevant. I wouldn't want him serving my Chang nevermind putting the jersey on.
I'm content to be embarrassed by my opinion as you say. He may have only played 100 mins etc but he has put the shirt on and he is an loan player who can be returned forthwith. It doesn't matter who pays the wage, he is representing Everton. He has played about 100 minutes for us. Most of his wages are probably paid for by West Ham (and is totally irrelevant..) and ill be amazed if they have sold ONE shirt with his name on.
Id say its embarrassing to you for some reason. It really has zero to do with the club. Its barely even a news story, its a little comedy incident right now that people are laughing at (At Valencia, not at Everton..).
Sure there is a bigger picture behind the comedy and if what he has alleged to have done turns out to be true then thats a bit of a [Poor language removed] move by him. But he hasnt killed anyone or anything like that and it will soon be forgotten about.
Actually, if he was any good it probably would have been forgotten about already...
Actually if a wealthy footballer does not pay for his kid then I hope his plane goes down on the way back.He has played about 100 minutes for us. Most of his wages are probably paid for by West Ham (and is totally irrelevant..) and ill be amazed if they have sold ONE shirt with his name on.

Agree but the primality must surely be the kids. You brought them here then man up and take responsibility. The morals in a case like this are rarely 'basic'....are large number of marital/relationship disputes are common were both parties use the kids as pawns in the game.

As you said yourself, if he has done what he is alleged to have done then it's a poor move.
Given the scenes on this thread, I think he has let himself down.

Sorry i dont mean that you should be embarrassed by your opinion i pied that up from what I said...Each to their own and all that. I just dont think its a massive deal either.
If is a big word there. I just cant judge people without knowing the facts.
Are you really his kin?
You've been defending this person since early today (or yesterday) and from all the contact on Facebook and the pub etc he is fit to burn.
If he has a dispute then let the courts decide. Just pay the measly amount and let the lawyers take the rest.
If he is idiotic enough to fight over £17k then surely we don't want or need him near our team.
He can hardly say it is an access problem when he works 5000 miles away.
He's a blurt and should be sent back south asap.
The money he must have - wouldnt you just pay it?!
I might be a bit precious but I don't want people like him pulling on an Everton shirt. Gibson has a problem and as long as he is battling against it he deserves a chance. If not he should be sent on his way.
When Valencia lands in Heathrow tell him to stay in London.
