On the bright side, at least we're getting more coverage in the media
No publicity is bad publicity etc
Yup we are the talk of the town in Quito.

Not embarrising?
He literally was getting chased off the pitch by ecuadorian police. Not behind closed doors, actually right there, in the stadium.
and to top it off, every single world wide article describes him as Everton's Valencia. Yeah mate, that is fantastic coverage for the club, one of our players who could well play next week was getting chased by police actually in the stadium.

It is toe curlingly embarressing that he is the second best of our 4 strikers,
No its really not.
As I said, its embarrassing to Valencia himself. It has got bugger all to do with Everton, he isn't even our player. If it ends up being an issue we just send him back. If he was playing for Everton at the time then possibly so.
Everton have barely got a mention in any of this. Unless Bill Kenwright is the childs mother or something I genuinely don't see how it effects us, let alone embarrasses us one way or the other apart from the fact that we may lose a non entity of a squad player for a bit.
....what he is doing simply appears to be wrong. If police are chasing him I assume he has to justify his actions to the court. Saying that, I also assume they let him leave the country.
a mate of mine told me to look the story up and they mention us in it several times.
how many players get chased off the pitch? More so the fact he has binned off his 5 year old daughter whilst earning 50 grand a week here, then come saturday he sticks a blue shirt on and carries on as normal on the other side of the world?
I'm sorry but it is embarrassing for the club. You would think so if it was west ham in the news about it, one of our players can't even step onto a pitch in his own country because he will literally be chased off it. Plus do you not think that other fans are going to take the mickey out of us all season for this? the running joke of everton every time he gets on the pitch.
The scumbag should just pay for his daughter
None of us know the situation (again I don't care) if its an Adam Johnson scenario then that's different, but child maintenance payments come on!!!! I don't think it reflects badly on the club just the person involved, its not like the club is backing him. I mean we have a cult hero at the club who has been to prison and that doesn't reflect badly on the club!!If there personal life reflects badly on EFC then it's fair enough. Personally I don't care either, but running from the police and not paying child support it a bit **** considering what his weekly pay packet is.
No seriously I wouldnt think that! I dont understand why anyone would think that way. I would just look and say "Oh thats a bit silly by Valencia." West Ham wouldnt even cross my mind.
No I dont think they will take the mickey as he is a non entity for us. If it was someone like Barkley or Coleman then maybe as they are synonymous with Everton. Valencia is barely an Everton player and by the looks of it will barely play anyway.
He has every right to expect to carry on as normal by the way if selected for us until he gets convicted of anything.
I honestly think you are thinking WAY too much about this and its effect on Everton. You cant change how you feel, I get that but look back at the likes of Ferguson going to prison, Gibson and his drunken rampage, Pienaar and his transgressions. Did they really effect the club in any way other than the fact that we lost some of those players for an amount of time? No not really. It didnt reflect badly on the club, we just got on with it and didnt wear T shirts declaring their innocence like certain other clubs would do.
Surely we have a decent kid in the reserves or under U18s that could take his place on the bench. It is toe curlingly embarressing that he is the second best of our 4 strikers,
