Enner Valencia

See I don't get that logic at all. He's either good enough, or he isn't.
It's that attitude that had us sign Alcaraz and Cleverley.
Bottom line here is that Valencia is not the quality of player we should be buying now, even as a back up striker.

Yes he has done well for us off the bench of late, but I think we're missing the point here. What we should be saying is that, late in games, we should be playing 2 up front as teams tire against us. That's why he has been doing well. Imagine the impact if we had a second striker who was better than Valencia.

He's not good enough to start and we should be aiming far higher for impact subs. He's what Oviedo is to LB, can do an OK job if that's all you're after.

He's obviously available to buy in the summer. Will any of the top 6 be after him?

That answers wether we should be signing him.

Love a bit of mediocrity our fans.
Yeah but those sides have had a top 6 side for years, we are still trying to build, besides Liverpool have had and do have worse players.
A lot depends on lukaku and how much of the budget gets used on center halves

I think people wanting another Lukaku who will sit on the bench are off target a little, bit! Ye swe need a quality second striker, but this lad As a squad player is ideal! He has an engine, can score a goal, likes the club and doesnt have hysterics when he is t picked every match. I think there is a lot to be desired there? If we could get him for five mill as a squad / 3rd choice striker i dont think that would be bad business at all!

paddy boyland just gave a fanatastic stat on city talk from gavin butland.

During valencias last 88 minutes on the pitch we have scored 8 goals.

Pretty sure we have something like 18 goals in the last 10'minutes of games which is the highest in europes top 5 leagues.

Manager has to take the credit for this

Was thinking about Enner and the weekend, noticed again Koeman bought him on at the end when he had several other options, I still think Koeman likes him, he plays him when he dosent have to, must see something in him, as said above we have scored a lot when he has been on the pitch, OK Saturday was a lost cause like them all but even so, be interesting tosee if he gets any time at Old Traford

I think out of all our current options, he's the best one to partner Rom. DCL seems a completely different kind of forward, Lookman was sitting far too deep (probably lack of experience) but Enner does look for the 1-2's with Rom and its worked on several occasions now.
If we could get him for under £10m, I'd be fairly ok with it. Of course, if Rom goes then we need a new core striker and Enner isn't that.
