His pace would be devastating in European football, but with all the signings we should be making, I'm not sure we should use it on a niche player. You want players in your squad that don't mind the limited opportunities and will do the job, but we have too many areas to cover.

paddy boyland just gave a fanatastic stat on city talk from gavin butland.

During valencias last 88 minutes on the pitch we have scored 8 goals.

Pretty sure we have something like 18 goals in the last 10'minutes of games which is the highest in europes top 5 leagues.

Game opens up with him on. He has pace and is a nuisance and gives defenders problems.......this makes more spaces up front and allows the likes of Lukaku that little bit more space to find. He is a bit like a gana but higher up the pitch. He stretches the defence.

Manager has to take the credit for this

Changed the game today, had a Few very good shots in goal, helped Holgate out in defence, there is a lot to like about this lad. If the asking price is halved I would have him in a heartbeat!

Isn't it about 14 million or something if we do want to buy ? Bit much but he's been pretty good for us, his movement off the ball puts most of our team to shame.

I heard that but I'm sure we could haggle it down. I'd be happy if we picked him up as a squad player, especially with europe blooming, for under 10m

Niasse out, this guy in. Seems about right, unless Walsh has found somebody else for less money.

I dont think he will be staying, he would be getting loads more game time if that was the plan.

He has done alright though, nice to see he isn't as bad as some were making out. Remember the fuss over him with the whole child support thing? That was massively embarrassing by some people.

Shame West Ham want a sizable fee for him. If he was on a free or say 5M I would say snap him up as he has his uses, realistically though for 14m the money is probably best used elsewhere.

The lad is winning me over. He has that happy knack of making things happen when he comes on the pitch, either directly or indirectly. He has proved a great impact sub against tiring defences, but would he have the same impact starting in Europe next season?
