Billionaires are absolutely weirdo's make no mistake. The Episode of The Simpsons where Homer finds the big pile of sugar is the perfect analogy of the mentality of trying to hold onto obscene wealth. Ive worked with all manner of people and if you think its the rich that only hold extreme capitalist and wildly racist viewpoints you'd be mistaken. There's plenty of people out there with no money that would do a hell of a lot worse.

Every single one of us week to weekers would defend Musk if he decided to drop a few mil in our bank account. He's a knob, but he's hardly running a communist gulag with the genocidal oppression of the Tech Sector. I'm sure they'll find another company microwave to heat their Heatie Wheaties in with another cafe close by to get their Cronuts and Chai late's.

I keep on going back to @Bruce Wayne ’s comparison with Lizz Truss - she wasn’t ever considered the brightest spark whereas Musk has considerable hands on experience in business, marketing etc yet seems hell bent on setting his new investment on fire in an even faster timeframe!
