Figures. He just wanted an outlet where he can say whatever he wants without accountability. It would seem to follow that he will extend the same courtesy to others, including Putin's drones.

The interesting question is whether it will destroy the platform in the end.
It’s a lot (A LOT!) of money to spend for an outlet whereas he could have created his own. I think he plans to transform the platform as well.

I am not a Twitter user, and I have no idea how this bloke got so rich from (as far as I know) one car company that doesnt seem to make much money.

But Twitters money comes 100% from ads doesnt it? Hope they all pull out and he loses $44 Billion.

If you've got BBC iPlayer, there was a recent series called the Elon Musk Show, which is worth a watch as it charts him from the early Tesla years.

The persona mainly on there and the Twitter one appear to be at odds with each other, although perhaps fame and fortune have gone to his head.

Putting it politely, he's what cops would once officially record as a SIM - 'strange in manner'.

Watched all three. Conflicted really. Seems emotionally distant except for temper. Undoubtedly odd, rather likes winning, got the idea hes that punter who went to the roulette table and won and bet the winnings multiple times consecutively. Thats probably unfair, but I've no idea where his startup cash came from and how he became so omnipresent in the tech sector. Odd.

Thats me as well. Like, I can get why the owners of Amazon and Apple, and Microsoft and Google are so wealthy. Literally, everyone on the planet uses their stuff. Leccy cars? Dont get it, so have probably missed sommet.
