Deeply concerning for Starmer the interest Musk has taken in UK politics. Given how close he is to Trump, UK officials will be worried this is how the next 4 years are going to play out.

It seems very coordinated and to me the start of a very powerful movement that will push for Farage to get close to power.

We've no idea how keen Trump, and more importantly those around him are to take this project throughout the western world, but it has the potential to put Starmer in a very difficult position. If Trump was to go after the Labour government in public, is there any option for Starmer to do anything other than just accept it? There is such an imbalance of power that I can't see any other outcome.

I am not sure - the thing with disinformation is that it’s very easy to use that as a commentator or an influencer from the outside of an issue.
