As I said previously it's a networks thing. Facebook is worried not because older folks are leaving but because younger people never bothered to join in the first place, so their networks never had to migrate from Facebook to somewhere new as they never had one. The older folks often think it's a ballache to move their networks somewhere else, so stayed put.
That's the question Twitter faces. How easy is it for people who have a decent sized network on the site to migrate elsewhere and get that audience back?
