If he's not in contention now with that record, then what's the point of that team/league?

I don't think they should have revamped the 'Reserves'.

Possibly because in the few games he’s played for the U23’s he hasn’t impressed, in his defence Unsworth plays a mainly defensive game.I’d say there is no need to rush the lad, he’s only eighteen, let him continue to learn while training and mixing with the first team squad.If he’s good enough play him? If you’ve seen him you would possibly realise the lad is not ready. (Yet)

He's nowhere near ready to be "given a try" in pro mens football for a team that hasn't won anything in years.
