Sign the contract Simms you absolute mess!

Anyone know where he lives?

Just bought himself this underground bunker on the outskirts of the city after reading this thread.

It won't be considerable compensation, it's usually a nominal fee.

It's not, there's pre agreed minimum compenstion levels for a youth player who the club have invested training in and they want to keep them.

For example, if a 13 year old at a cat 1 club now, such as Everton, decided he didn't want to play for us and he wanted to go he could only go to grassroots football, he couldn't sign for another professional club. If he wanted to the club would have to pay his preset compensation which would be approx £210k and would rise if there are other rafters such as international call ups, league top scorer (Simm's case). That's for a 13 year old.

It basically starts at 3k for a 9 year old and trebles every year as long as they want to keep him until the latter years when it goes up in even bigger leaps.

All the club have to do is make him an offer before the 18th May this season in writing and if so he can not go anywhere without compensation even if he wants to.

That's why the likes of Bobby Duncan couldn't sign for Liverpool as City wanted more than there pre agreed compensation and they got it whilst eh took ages out and was training with Wigan for months to keep fit but unable to play.

Someone like Simms would be ridiculous.....I'd guess at 4 million plus with huge clauses if he made it as Everton have basically made him.

....he’s not been with us long, though.

After all we’ve done for him, the years of training and conditioning through the academy age groups, I can’t believe he’s even CONSIDERING leaving us.

He just epitomises the mercenary nature of footballers these days, what a complete and utter joke this club is, someone needs sacking for for not tying him down to a lon....... oh, he’s only been here for a year????

Even though it's only the u18 sthe club would be pretty stupid not to sign him for longer to see if he can make the step up.
Everton academy can't be trusted anymore after we let Mustafi go and he's basically the new Nesta.

I remember reading somewhere about a 16/17 years old kid scoring 60+ goals in the u18 league recently. That is some freak stats.
