All this talk about him being the best striker in the world, he had one good season. He still a bad wool tho, he had massive bans in different leagues, assualt and racist. He a big risk to spend 50 million on. He on his best behavouir regarding racists and buying. He still shown to be a massive cheat with his fake injuries after his sly dirty tacklers, Made a show of Liverpool Legend KG when he promised to shake his hands. lol

he will have to have another world class season before anyone gambles 50 million on him.

Erm, what ?

He scored 17 goals in 39 games last season, for a striker who isn't actually a traditional striker that's not exactly bad.

Then there's also the full season before he joined Liverpool where he scored 49 goals in 48 games for Ajax.

I suppose the sole negative footballing* aspect to him apart from being a massive snide is that his Champions League experience is not at the same level as his immediate rivals.

Suarez is a despicable human being but he's also clearly a very talented footballer and from what I've seen wouldn't look out of place at any top side. Van Persie has been crucial to winning the titke or united but has he really outshone Suarez ?

But the on the flip side, if RVP was as controversial a figure as Suarez, would it not make him appear a better player if we had to begrudgingly admit his talent everytime?

Suarez has been better, particularly in the second half of the season. Hasn't RVP gone about 7 games without scoring ?

Watching Suarez play he pretty much has it all. If RVP and Suarez swapped places i'm sure the latter would score a lot more goals and RVP would score less.

Agreed. I think player of the year would be between Suarez and Bale. There's no chance Suarez will win that though. There would be uproar.

Being top scorer whilst your team lies in 7th place is pretty impressive, to be fair.

No he wouldn't. VPs an infinitely better finisher than Suarez and the amount of glaring chances Liverpool have missed, I'd imagine he'd have clocked up more, in this hypothetical scenario.

Yeah, and Suarez is a lot more creative. United give RVP lots more chances to score than he'd get at Liverpool. Suarez ends up creating most of them himself.

He's a good footballer but he's an absolute holocaust of a human being.

If there's any justice in the world, he'll take the lovables for a ride before jumping ship and leaving them without a shekel for his transfer.

The criticisms levelled at Liverpool is them not taking chances, not not creating them. There has been a few times this season where Suarez has missed glaring opportunities that RVP wouldn't have. RVP also isn't the completely and utterly relied upon by United. If every attack went through him, I'm pretty sure he'd score more.
