inter just accepted a bid from them, their team is going to end up being pretty good i think.
ghey
FWIW Inter did also accept a bid from Southampton, and Coutinho didnt want to go there.

The problem is they can spend themselves out of trouble. For all their crap signings, they can make a couple of good ones and progress. Its heartbreaking in a way.FWIW Inter did also accept a bid from Southampton, and Coutinho didnt want to go there.

Thats sadly why they will never go away. They will be able to afford good enough players to stay in the position to attract good players.Yep, We may have a better team at this time but give it a few transfer windows of us selling to buy and them spending money and they will over take us again
Pisses me off
I've previously thought Liverpool had signed the right players to push on on several occasions and they have turned out to be gash/injury prone in the end. I'm going to wait and see with them.
I agree that it is more complex than that but if they are given enough chances they will get it right.Yeah this.
The "oh they spent more money than us so they're going to be better than us" isn't as straight forward as it seems.
The whole of the team is worth more than the sum of its parts.
Although they've funded a decent net spend (£50/60M??), I think FSG strategy may be to get on top of the type of mega wages of the past. If they are going to push on it wont be with bringing in the quality of player (finished article-wise) they were used to. It'll be up to Brendan to add that value. *chuckles*
Chuckle all you want David, they are stumping up the cash.
