This morning's Shameless FC snippet.

Linda Pizzuti Henry - Mrs John Henry no less - has "written" a Little Liver Book. It's in their shop window in town. Talk about exploitation ffs. Shameless!

Is that a Biography about Aldo, be surprised if that piss smelling [Poor language removed] stained alcoholic abomination of a fake Irishman hasn't got a very Little mentholated spirit soaked Liver

Yet again the whole tiresome 'after dismantling City, could Liverpool be title contenders this season??' tripe is being rolled out once again. I've mentioned this before on this thread, no other club is ever talked about like this. Leicester sit top, yet has anyone even seen an article suggesting they'll claim an EL spot this season, let alone a CL spot or the PL title. Yet somehow a team presently 6 points (and ten goals) off 4th are being considered title contenders. Does my head in, massively.
Let them dare to dream, it's the hope what kills you.

In what way, Kurt?
what he achieved with Ipswich was a fantastic feat, then he managed in Portugal, spain and Holland and was successful there too.... he was great for England too. It was in his later years where started to wain a little, like I say though, it's only my opinion.

I read a fact that in his 13 years as Ipswich boss he only signed 14 players... the rest were developed through the clubs youth system.... if correct that is a fantastic achievement on it's own.

He certainly wasn't "great for England".

He only avoided exiting the '86 World Cup at the group stage by accident when his namesake, who was injured going into the tournament and predictably limped out of it plus his sideways passing crab got himself suspended and the team had to be changed.

Euro '88 was an unmitigated disaster and other England managers have been sacked for presiding less of a fiasco.

I know he got to the semi final in Italia '90 but it was pretty turgid progress and Cameroon were very unlucky in the quarter final.

Don't believe the myth, Kurt........Robson was a decent enough club manager but by no means a great one.

But as you say.....it is all about opinion and sure it would be a dull enough old world if we all held the same one....;)

But we are veering off topic here.....:)

Those Kopites.......what a bunch of idiots :pint2:

Still defending the right of an 18 stone young thug to terrorize two pensioners because the Geordie nobhead wanted to fly his banner.

Stay classy.
Only skim read that article but I didn't see any real mention of the victim and her partner being match goers for decades and the offender being a young lad from out of town. Strange that.

On a side note I am an out of town fan myself, and I'd never use that language or attitude towards any blue at a game. Regardless of where they rest their hat.

You did right to skim through it.

It us nauseating the way they go on about "our unique atmosphere" being down to banner waving and singing.....when the place is like a morgue most games.

I can't believe the arrogance about them that they think they should have a say in what other people should behave like. How can you sit next to a bunch of people who think they should dictate to you when you can do and what you can't. Weirdo's.

And I thought you went to a match to watch a game of football. How silly of me. They're acting like a class in a nursery school, all sitting on the naughty step. Pricks.
