ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Been so long since the last fiasco over him going to Chelski...remember "I thought I wasn't wanted...people need to walk in my shoes". Most RS wont be aware of this new revelation I reckon. I wonder how long before theyre ranting about him leaving....and when the shirt burning will begin ?? The real burning question though....."Will Stevie GO AGAIN" ???? Hahaha bring the hysteria on

Look he's finished, he knows it, we know it and Rodgers knows it. But the ones who don't know it are the deluded half and half scarf wearing muppets who love him. The longer he sticks around the more of a hindrance he is to them, he's a become a barrier thats preventing success just like he showed against Chelsea just like he showed at the World Cup. We need to champion his claim for a new contract, the longer the better, tell them all he's great, keep affirming their overhyped opinions of him.

Stevie G Please Don't Go!

You'd imagine he'd keep quiet about moving away and just say something like "I'd like to play for this club for another few years yet". And if pressed - "I've only eyes for this club". So unprofessional. With all the media coaching they get nowadays (and especially him as ex-Engerland captain who would've gotten more than most) I can only imagine he's done it deliberately to whip up support for a new contract.

It doesn't surprise me though after the interview he gave on the pitch in Istanbul where he'd just won the Champions League and still wouldn't commit to staying at the club. He's a sham as far as being a one club man goes.

Of course he has...its vintage Gerrard that. Like the articles where he says 'its not about me...its about Liverpool Football Club/Jordan Henderson etc' then proceeds to talk about himself for the majority of the piece. Faux humility that takes in the grovelling media and above all the cult sheep at their place.

But he is their sham and long may it continue.

It'd be dead funny if we signed him on a free then won the league like.

"So, who did you win the league with?....."

Oh imagine the wonderful fume.

Who at the top level would even want Stevie G now?

Even if Liverpool offer him less money for a new contract he should take it. No one higher than them are going to want him. They'll want someone younger with more upside

Gerrard can only have 2 seasons left in him now you'd have to think?
