Is that the 20 million pound man who looks like he is worth every penny of it?

Merseyside teams having nightmares with injuries so far this season.

So are Arsenal and Man United, to be fair. It infuriates me that Diego Costa has been deemed a 75% injury risk every week in Fantasy Football, but somehow finds time to bang in a hat-trick every Saturday.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been dealt another injury blow after Lazar Markovic suffered a suspected muscle tear during Serbia’s 1-1 draw with Armenia on Saturday.

Markovic was largely ineffective in the 25 minutes he lasted in his country’s European Championship qualifier and could now be out for a number of weeks, adding to the number of Liverpool players recently injured on international duty.
Always the victims.

Their injury list doesn't really impact the quality of the team they can put on the pitch. An ineffective player here, a mediocre player there. They have plenty of dross to step up.

Our injury situation is much worst. Our best overall player, (Barkley), our best right back (Coleman - player of the year), out best attacking winger (Mirallas), our best Center Back, (Stones), are all injured.

Brenda needs to quit whining and do one.

Both sides have two players starting for England tonight as well - going to be lots of anxious fans during the match, not about the result but that no more injuries are picked up.

To be honest, I don't think it's just players who are caring less about international football. I can barely bring myself to give a toss about Ireland's results at the moment and would gladly take a 10-nil thrashing from Germany if it meant getting our four lads back in one piece.

Chelsea very ,very rarely have anyone injured for long. They don't really have much experienced depth to replace their first choice back 4 (Azpilicueta/Felipe Luis, Terry/Ake, Cahill/Zouma, Ivanovic) but even older players like Terry seem to manage to play large numbers of games during the season without having long layoffs.

Big physical teams tend not to have injury crisis. Plus the better you are, the less you have to bust a gut to get results I'd have thought.

After all the arsing round over Sturridge, now theres this new 'tired' Stirling. Imagine what Rodgers will be like if his replacement Lallana picks up an injury. Having said that, hes probably had to take a note off Rodgers to Hodgson saying if he replaces another LFC player he can only play the first half... or ten minutes if the pitch cuts up, it gets dark too early or it gets chilly.

Looks like the spawn they possess extends to the Ladies team - started the day in 3rd place on the last day of the Ladies season, but just won the league on goal difference.

They haven't got Kone to worry about either.

That's always been my opinion as well. Nothing too obvious but just his demeanour when he got the hook in games and his manner playing second fiddle to Suarez. He loves the limelight international football gives him so wont rock the boat with England regardless of Rodgers and his training soundbites...lets face it he knows the RS are reliant on him especially with the kip of Balotelli.

If Sturridge was as good as he thinks he is England would have got out their world cup group. Phil Neville was the only one with the stones to call him out for his poor finishing and selfish decision making.

Meanwhile Rooney took all the stick for it. The same player who scored the goals in qualification to get us there and is closing in on England's goalscoring record finds himself dropped from two positions for two flash in the pans from Liverpool who have done Jack all at the highest level and sure enough did Jack all at the world cup yet both came out along with Stevie oh no I've done it again me as England's best players.

Sturridge is a decent striker but the space Suarez made for him Will not be there this year. Less than 20 this season. Aguero, Costa and possibly Falcao and Van Persie are the only world class strikers in the league now.

Always wondered about that one especially considering their lady doc/physio Eva. My groin would be strained something rotten if I were a CFC player
