Why was Sterling tired? has Rodgers been on the phone to Sterling.

I hope roy keeps him on the bench for the next meet up. He's sooo overatred anyway. Sick of hearing this wonderkid tag about him, I just don't see it. A slightly better, younger swp.

Would liverpool or Sterling try pulling this [Poor language removed] off with a more high profile manager than hodgson? I doubt it!!

If this relationship between Hodgson and Rodgers continues, not sure how happy the likes of Sturridge and Sterling will end up. In a RAWK world they probably believe their best players are happy to miss out on playing for their country to save themselves for Liberpewl but in reality they'll move quicker out the door.

Hodgson serving up a big plate of revenge on Rodgers with this Sterling stuff. He was basically called a liar by Sturridge/Rodgers and he's making sure the media glare is on Liverpool and their manager rather than himself after a putrid performance against Estonia.

LOLZ

There is an article in the Echo where they are claiming that they have 580 million fans! Pa ha ha ha ha, no wonder they can't get tickets, PAH HA HA HA HA HA.

Well maybe a slightly over stating the case, but they managed to get 80,000 or more in the MCG and every Derby I am out numbered 20 to 1 in the pig n whistle Brisbane, living proof that while great minds are supposed to think alike the other half of the proverb applies to them...'Fools seldom differ'

They love a good old song on rawk :

American Pi-pe Dream

A long, long time ago
I can still remember
How that football used to make me smile.
And I knew if they had their chance
They'd lead us all a merry dance
And, maybe, they’d make money for a while.

And February made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver
Bad news on the doorstep;
Game 39 takes one more step.

I can’t remember if I cried
When Scudamore tossed our dreams aside,
But something touched me deep inside
The day that football died.

And they were singing,
Bye Bye Setanta and Sky,

.....................................................

And the 3 men I admired most,
Carra, Dalglish and Shankly's ghost,

Tbf its a bit off from Hodgson saying 'it's not my fault it's his' when he is by far the senior and more experienced. We won anyway so there wasn't much explaining to do and if their was he could have just lied to protect a 19 year old from this bad press.

This is my England fan head talking btw, I'm not going to lose much sleep about that little prick getting hung out to dry in the press.

He said it before the game to stave off criticism of him not playing Sterling. Why should he say he's resting him then England don't win and he'd be slaughtered for it? The media need to look at Rodgers playing him in a Carling cup tie and they won't unless Hodgson gives some back. All this rubbish about oooh he's only 19. The bloke's a dad so many times over, he's old enough to make his own decisions of when to play or not and should face the consequences either way.
