Let's stay classy about this lads. Obviously it's potentially good news for us, but it's pretty low gloating about a player getting injured. (with the possible exception of suarez)

And like Finn said, karma's a bitch - let's not have it come back and bite us on the ass.

He ran half the pitch to celebrate in front of us

You can do what you like, I'll enjoy the Karma now.

Just had the horrible image of Suarez leaving and them throwing some money at Chelsea in the summer for Lukaku :((

I dont think Chelsea are going to hand a talent like that to a club that could deny them a CL place...that's why we got him: so we could use him to take points off their rivals.

Don't for a moment think that's actually why we got him. Makes a nice soundbite for Chelsea now though, when their strikers can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.

I think that's ALWAYS behind a loan deal like this. It's certainly a very decent outcome for Chelsea that Lukaku is out there already scoring against rivals for the CL places.

it's a happy outcome, but I think it's a case of shaping the reasoning after Mourinho started getting so much heat from the media along the lines of "wtf are you doing sending your best striker out on loan?"

By all accounts Lukaku found out he wasn't going to be playing regularly and asked for a transfer. Chelsea turned this down and offered him out on loan instead.

Surely if they thought he was going to be a regular scorer against CL competitors they would have a) kept him to score for their own team and certainly b) not sent him on loan to a team who were only a regular goalscorer away from qualifying for the CL last season?

I just think Mourinho doesn't fancy him in his team and told him he'd be down the pecking order, and the stuff we're hearing him say now is arse covering.

And the happy outcome you rightly point to is not happenstance - Lukaku demonstrated he could score against other top PL teams last season with WBA.
