ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Just been reading the moyes thread on rawk ....it's unbelievable.... They really do have an over inflated opinion of themselves.... All of a sudden there is no longer a big 4.... It's now a big 6 and they include themselves in that group.... Totally ignoring the fact w ave finished above them for the last two seasons despite them spanking millions of pounds trying to play catch up...... Now I'm to dismissing them completely but we too have arguably strengthened our startin 11 and or squad as a whole this season with proven quality in Barry and Lukaku, anther exciting loan in delafoofoo, a good prospect in McCarthy and decent squad additions with kone and Alcaraz....... Oh, and also the small fact that we have not lost a game yet ( albeit only 5 games in ) .......is it just a kopite thing ? Do they think that by not acknowledging us we may go away ? .... Now I'm not gonna make any bold predictions here as that would be stupid of me but I honestly don't think they are anywhere near as good as they think the are..... A large dose of reality is needed across the park I feel.

If you go back and read the Everton thread from December time last year, the vast majority of them were totally seriously insisting that they'd have caught us by January and we'd be way behind them by the end of the season. The odd few expressed concerns that we were pulling away and were laughed out of the thread by the vast majority. I think in January we were pushing double figures points ahead of them.

It's the same every single year. They really do need a good relegation scrap to sort their heads out.

I actually think we'll finish above them this year. I think our squad is actually easily as good as theirs in terms of numbers for the first time in forever and will continue to improve throughout the year (Barkley, Deulofeu, Stones learning and improvement) and they have signed some proper tosh. Obviously a lot hinges on how Suarez fits back in. If he improves them as much as they think he will, we will have a task on our hands, but if, as I suspect they will, over-rely on him, they could end up similar to last year and you've got to fancy us in the situation.

Them not being in the C/L must be starting to bite now, they have put contract talks on hold with Johnson, think I read somewhere he is on £129,000.

We cant really lose tomorrow, would rather the rs went out but it would be funny to see Moyes get beat by the rs AGAIN, after his silly quotes in the media.
