You see this sort of thing a lot in the USA. I understand becoming a supporter in the last 10 year's because we, as a country, are just now being really exposed to footy and the premier league. I'll put myself on that line even, since I went my first of two decades without really having access to watch the sport.

The real distinction should not be made on time of support, but on loyalty and soundness. As analogy, I know a couple of blerts who have 'supported' the Lakers in NBA basketball for beards. However, their team is a bit gash this year and the crosstown historically joke of a rival in the Clippers have been looking quite good. If you talk to them now, you'll find them to be all about the Clippers.

I think the number of people someone follows in proportion to the number following them is the mark of a person. Aldridge has 62,000 listening to the drivel he spouts/spits out but he's only interested in 106 (probably famous people/organisations). His followers aren't important enough to him.

The best thing about the whole Suarez BS is that he thrives off being a sh*thouse, so if he cleans up his act he becomes less effective and, if he keeps it up, the hate campaign just keeps picking up momentum...he's f*cked, the gobsh*te.
