Lets hope Suarez doesn't end up seeing that banner otherwise he'll end up staying and turn down of playing champions league footy with the European big guns!!.

 It could make the difference in their minds.

We could start every single derby until the end of time with a commemoration of his life.

The start of every match is a commemoration of something or other these days.

I know some things are closer to home and felt more deeply than others for minutes applause/silence, but I find the whole use of football for this kind of thing pretty creepy to be honest.

Football is football. Keep it clear of any outside consideration.

At least we didn't have a minutes silence for "you know who" a few weeks back

Small mercies

I see in today's Echo there's a story about Brendan having taken the trouble to become a 'fluent Spanish speaker'.

You just know he's done that because he reckons his destiny lies at the Nou Camp or Bernabeu. In fact, he probably thinks he's got a shot now having steered Liverpool to a 6-0 away win against Newcastle on his way to storming to 6th in the table.

7th mate. The shysters will find some way of arsing it all up.

And then shot a 39 under par round in his first game of golf!

It was purely methodical and cold-hearted for me, nothing to do with passion or favourite players.

My brother decided to get into football when I was about 10 or 11, and he chose Arsenal. I copied him, but didn't want the same team, and wanted a team that fit these criteria.

-Decent team - Good enough to give me some joy, not so good that I wouldn't get the lows to go with the highs, and be a glory-hunter (although I guess you could say wanting a decent team was glory-hunting anyway
-Club that runs itself right - From my limited exposure to football, people were always going on about how classy we were (rightly or wrongly)
-Decent history - Speaks for itself
-Nice colour - As above

Words fail me.

145,000 were trying to knock **** out of the other 5,000 for their tickets.

Liverpool Football Club is a family institute mind.

I despise the idea of fans knocking out fellow supporters for tickets however reading some of these rawk posts i'd be tempted to knock them out even if it wasn't for tickets to be honest .
