ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

A year off the Klopp steroid regime and they have all fallen off a cliff, getting out run by every other team in the division.

Predictable.
Just like the Dortmund crash when he left them.

I'm not saying they were on a doping regimen under Klopp just because their performance cycles matched being on one and the subsequent crash, alongside the rumours and hiring of that German performance nutritionist and all that, because then I might not believe that the squad suffering with record levels of asthma were squeaky clean. And that'd be just terrible - because what hope would a wheezy fat guy like me have huh?

….i just fear the Champions League two-leg format suits them perfectly, especially with the 2nd leg at home 🫣
Not when you're 6-0 down from the first leg. Also, that aura that Mordor had has disappeared this season. Galatasaray are appalling away from home, they've barely won a European away game in the last 10 years. Usually I'd worry about them getting lucky but not this season. I wasn't worried yesterday and I'm not worried about them beating PSG.

That German performance nutritionist will have been facing some serious questions last night.

I think it's simpler than that, I'm afraid: Slot doesn't appear to have the tactical nous or personal skill; they've bought fairly terribly in the summer.

Salah and van Dijk have fell off a cliff as their weaknesses and age are being exposed. Who are they going to sell in the summer to fund a rebuild?

Szoboszlai is the only one, and the way he's talking to the press I suspect he wants out, but he's their best player by a country mile.

After splashing out £450m in the summer, it's potentially going to be a difficult summer for them.

Agree with you on Salah, but not van Dijk particularly. Yes he has lost a bit of pace but what he needs is a competent partner - and thats not there. (Guehi would have been). They spent a lot of money, on good players, but not the ones they needed. Sad eh?
