Mad how having a ponytail and a fanny on his chin has given him some kind of aura.Whenever there’s danger, he’s nowhere to be seen. He’s out wide nowhere near the action giving his partner CB down the banks. He’s an absolute charlatan that’s had smoke blown up his arse by the media more than any player I’ve ever seen in the league. Has done absolutely nothing at international level either. He’s not a top CB, never has been, he’s never been positionally perfect like a Cannavaro Nesta Terry or Puyol. Van Dijk has always been absolutely all over the place who has got out of trouble by Matip or Alisson.
Beto had him all over the place at Anfield and Goodison last season and he’s a bang average striker. Van Dijk is nowhere near the levels of the PLs best CBs nowhere near.
If they’d sold Salah for the reported 100m that was being suggested last summer and saved his 20m a year wages. It’s cost them 120m to keep him on for one season. A bitter kopite said to me, we haven’t let him go on a free we’ve saved 20m in wages next year![]()
Their only real saleable assets are Ekitike Szoboslai and Ngumoah. They’ll get nothing significant back now for any of Allison Van Dijk or Salah. Konate and Robertson will go for nothing this summer. As long as no one is stupid enough to pay them any decent money for their muck like McCallsiter Gravenberch or Gakpo, they’re looking at once again needing another summer of huge investment to rebuild (on top of the 50 mill CB they’ve already agreed a deal for). Let’s see if FSG will go to the well again or whether they reasonably ask WTF happened to the last 450 mill we gave you?
Ngumoha Is nothing more than a ‘run fast and fall over’ merchant.
Because he plays for Die Scheiße he’s automatically classified as the best young player in the werld.
Having said that, Bournemouth will probably pay £50m for him as they did with previous dross like Ibe and Solanke.
I'd like that to be true.
But McAllister, Gravenberch, Isak, Wirtz are good players.
Saying this with a genuinely straight face after his team just got smashed 4 nil is absolutely wonderfully deluded.
Truly hilarious stuff.
Well everyone is a saleable asset obviously. Perhaps I should have specified that by saying ‘that they can sell for significant fees above what they paid for them to provide them with a sizeable transfer kitty to refresh that squad’
Isak has had multiple significant injuries and misses many games a season. No one is even sure whether he’s ever returned to the form he had for Newcastle before he did his hamstring and since then he’s fractured his leg. They’d be lucky to even get 50 mill for him now and thy paid well over 100.
Wirtz has shown he’s just not quick enough to be massively effective in the premier league and when he plays in his favoured position he unbalances the midfield. I don’t think they’d get half of what they paid for him now.
They bankrolled previous successful teams due to massive sales of Torres Alonso Mascherano Suarez Coutinho to top CL teams.
Who are they selling out the current squad that would interest Barcelona Real Madrid City or Bayern to depart with a massive fee like they did for those other players?

I'd like to think he'd have swerved them anyway after the Bournemouth game at anfield this season...Semenyo was the perfect replacement tbh but they missed the boat.
You do know thats a parody account?Spot on. Would love to see what Henry in his prime would do against Van Bader. I don't know what the footballing equivalent of throwing in the towel is to save someone being humiliated but ol' Arnie would have to do that pretty goddamn quick.
Spot on, he was all over the place leaving acres of space. Love to see it.
