So many teams have the embarrassing records against them yet turn up like it’s their World Cup final against City Arsenal or Chelsea. Spurs are another one, Palace had a massive run after Crystanbul of not beating them for ages, Bournemouth have only just ended theirs. City have a terrible record at Anfield against them. Teams just fold even against bang average Liverpool teams then show up in other games. Too many generational Liverpool fans across other teams all touching the sign and getting photos.

Too many managers know they are playing against, not only the 11 lfc players on the pitch but the officials. As do so many players, so they have a 'no matter what we do it's going to be given against us and for them'. In a way they are defeated before they go on the pitch. It's noticeable when they do get beat at Anfield they have not had any leg ups from the officials.

Whenever I watch a game and theirs a 'decision', say Villa's disallowed goal today. I always look at it and give it the 'lfc test'. That is would that goal have been given if lfc were chasing an equaliser. Villa are chasing a top 4 as are lfc, who may struggle to finish there. This always springs to mind, 'the elite clubs need protecting financially'. Otherwise interest in the US will wane. If lfc don't get Champions League they'll lose £40 million plus as they did when the last didn't qualify, "Liverpool posted a loss before tax of £57 million last season as their Champions League absence and soaring administrative costs took their toll"

It is easier for them. Always has been. Officials want to give them decisions, it needs to be absolutely cut and dry against them before they’re not given the benefit of the doubt. They hardly get ones against them, they get a staggering number of pens for them, they’re hardly ever down to ten men but regularly end up playing against ten. The Spurs game is a prime example, you look how difficult it is for City to win there yet Liverpool get a red given for a nothing tackle by Simons and go from getting battered to being gifted a difficult three points away. We’d never get that given for us, Arsenal wouldn’t, City wouldn’t. Them and United get decisions no other team in the league get.

That’s why I have no time for people who say Peo and Klopp’s teams were neck and neck. They weren’t. Pep’s team were a lot better but had to overcome obstacles every single week to win those titles. Klopp’s teams turned up and any game they struggled in there’d be an officiating gift and another three points.

That’s before you get into the amount of players that make convenient ‘accidents’ agains them. Silly back passes, ridiculous penalties incurred for leaving a leg out, blatant handballs for no reason whatsoever. The amount of absolute stupid errors that occur against them is just unbelievable. Then the next week you’ll see the same team put in a faultless defensive effort against City or Arsenal. Just absolutely reeks.
