ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It is easier for them. Always has been. Officials want to give them decisions, it needs to be absolutely cut and dry against them before they’re not given the benefit of the doubt. They hardly get ones against them, they get a staggering number of pens for them, they’re hardly ever down to ten men but regularly end up playing against ten. The Spurs game is a prime example, you look how difficult it is for City to win there yet Liverpool get a red given for a nothing tackle by Simons and go from getting battered to being gifted a difficult three points away. We’d never get that given for us, Arsenal wouldn’t, City wouldn’t. Them and United get decisions no other team in the league get.

That’s why I have no time for people who say Peo and Klopp’s teams were neck and neck. They weren’t. Pep’s team were a lot better but had to overcome obstacles every single week to win those titles. Klopp’s teams turned up and any game they struggled in there’d be an officiating gift and another three points.

That’s before you get into the amount of players that make convenient ‘accidents’ agains them. Silly back passes, ridiculous penalties incurred for leaving a leg out, blatant handballs for no reason whatsoever. The amount of absolute stupid errors that occur against them is just unbelievable. Then the next week you’ll see the same team put in a faultless defensive effort against City or Arsenal. Just absolutely reeks.
Because they are invited to infest the sports media print, TV and radio all officials are constantly under scrutiny during their games. In fact, there livelihoods are at stake, so giving a decision against them is always scrutinised minutely. And if the lfc jury deem it 'wrong' ie. not in lfc's favour, the officials are hounded and intimidated. Refs. and VAR are wary about going against lfc. Let's see how long the Villa disallowed goal today is talked about in the sports media. If it was lfc that scored that goal to equalised, we wouldn't hear the last of it all week. The premier league and the domestic cups are swayed towards lfc. In Europe it's slightly different and it doesn't always go their way, hence there complaints about UEFA.

they were going to come good eventually or 'not be as sh1t3' the only thing to worry about this season I think is them in the champions league, gets nervy when they get to later stages
