One more notable thing last night was the belief in the team was there for the first time in about 2 years.

even winning at the start of the season we never really looked comfortable, we always looked edgy and fearful at times, resorting to defending even when 3 up. Last night the players stopped playing their opponments and started playing their game. Lennon running at people suddenly put them on the back foot, lukaku was bullying defenders and making them commit, Gueye was causing them issues all over the pitch, it was just a completely different team performance that we have seen properly in two year. We got a half against united last season but we all know that was the players in spite of the manager.

Which does bring us onto monday, and an even bigger game for us. If we can win monday, then all of a sudden we look like we could actually get somewhere, we can welcome new players next month off the bounce it would give us and certainly change a lot of opinions in the fan base that we are dead and buried under koeman.

We got lucky for a change. You earn luck, and we really earned it last night. No heads dropped and everyone wanted it. I'm not saying everyone played to their best but when they show that much commitment, that's the rewards we get.
It certainly lifted the crowd, seeing them give it their all. Let's keep that commitment going and the football will take care of itself.
I'm not saying we're going on a long unbeaten run, but a defeat is much easier to handle if we only get beat by better football and not lack of passion.
