This is a massive test for Koeman now. He brought in Barkley, Valencia and McCarthy and was richely rewarded with great performances. I don't think Lennon performed amazingly, but he did enough imo to keep his place. I'd probably feel more confident with him on the wing instead of Mirallas / Deulofeu right now, as that pair have proven themselves to be way below the required standard this season.

He surely cannot drop the three of Ross, Valencia and McCarthy after that; that'd send out a horrible message to his players. Mori automatically comes in, and the rest of the side picks himself:

Stekelenburg
Coleman - Williams - Mori - Baines
Lennon - McCarthy - Barkley - Gueye - Valencia
Lukaku

Ratings - IMO of course

Stek - 6
Coleman - 8
Williams - 7
Jagielka - 7
Baines - 7
Gueye - 9
Valencia - 7
McCarthy - 8
Barkley - 7
Lennon - 7
Lukaku - 6

Mirallas - 6
Calvert-Lewin - 6
Funes - 6

Ron-Ko - 7

I think it will be very similar but, I do think Kev will come in.

I like Lennon, and he played very well yesterday, but Kev always turns up in the derby and I think we need to make sure we have that attacking impetus on the pitch to go out and have a right go at them.

That being said I'd have no issues if he started with the same team, Mori in for Jags notwithstanding.

Anyone have an idea where Gareth Barry was yesterday and if/how he will fit in against the RS?
nothing wrong with him, just can't play more than once a week mate.

Worth pointing out the most mobile our midfield has been was him not in it, something to consider for the future....

I'm not Lennon's biggest fan, but I thought he offered more of a threat than either Del or Mirallas have done this season. Mori for Jagielka should be the only change for next Monday when the RS pollute Goodison next week.
