But people think he's playing the fiddle for people no longer associated with the club after getting paid handsomely to leave.

I don't believe what actually happened. No fan does. Don't even think Dyche does (hence the "hammer, death threats, boos" quote rather than just saying "death threats"). But it's a different discussion from the interview

That's the exact issue. He repeated this claim with no context in a national media interview.

Like a prize bell.

Merseyside Police exposed it for the lie that it is days after that statement by the club's own employees overseen by The Board was put out and backed by absolutely nothing.

The context was him walking into that event and that story when asked about stability at the time.

Not adding substance to it.
