Duncan Ferguson Management

Duncan has been around Everton for most of his footballing life.

It will be well know if he has the tactical nous to make a good coach and manager or if he simply is somebody who can motivate but not be tactically astute.
Duncan has been doing the job interview every day at training but may need to go elsewhere and prove himself in a less pressurised environment first.

I’m pretty sure if you ask United fans. None of them would have had solksjaer anywhere in their minds.

then they won a few with him caretaker.

he’s had a rough patch- but overall he’s done reasonable for them in my opinion- it’s not that far fetched to think dunc could do the same for us.

don't expect titles, just some passionate football. 10th place and plenty of exciting games would be better than the season we've just had (10th place and mostly dull games).
Exactly and who knows, things could go better than we think. They say to attract players you need a big name manager, but ultimately it’s the wage the clubs willing to pay. I hope Dunc gets it’s the others mentioned don’t inspire me one bit.

I think your right and if we don’t try it we will never know. Bring it on.

I remember him getting sent off on a number of occasions and leaving us in the toilet in a relegation fight.

If we'd have been sent down in that season it'd have largely been down to him.

We owe Gareth Farrelly and Chelsea not putting their flip flops on a day early for the summer for our PL status. We owe the galloot the square root of f.a.

To be fair Carlo is meant to be world class and he had worse performances against lesser teams.
I don’t think Dunc will get it, and I think that will make him leave and get some management experience.
Which is exactly what he needs to do rather than hang around hoping to land the big job. Of those given a leg up the ladder (Rodgers and Merinho spring to mind as exceptions) many have struggled - Lampard, Rooney, Charlton, Maradonna, Keane, Parker.

People seems to forget that the name Solskjaer carried much more respect than Duncan Ferguson.

Surely Brands has the were with all to be able to bring top coaches in maybe to work under the big fella. Motivation is a big part of being the boss but you're absolutely right, we need tactical astutness as well. The Catt wasn't a big tracksuit manager but relied on coaches on the training ground. I know things have moved on but the fundamentals are still the same.

I love Dunc and always will. If he seriously ever wants to become Everton manager though he has to leave and manage another club and work his way up.

However, if he is happy being a coach, then I'm not pushing for him to leave whatsoever. Highly spoke of by DCL and Lukaku so I trust he is a good coach in that regard.

Ole has actually managed other clubs though. Dunc has to go and earn his right to be considered as the manager of another club.
