2. It was also altered AFTER it left the committee.
3. What Wray is alleged of saying is totally disputed by Democrats. Cherrying picking by the R's.
4. To obtain a warrant in a FISC you need far more than just what was in Steele's dossier. You need corroborating evidence.
5. The warrant was only good for 90 days and had to be relitigated on each renewal and proof that surveillance was effective and accurate would need to be proved each time.
Ultimately, this was a total red herring by the Republican Party. Nunes needs to be removed. He is just doing the White House's bidding. Our system of checks and balances won't work with each body doing their job.

The only possible way this could blow up on the Democrats is that if the Republicans continue their insufferably dishonest, hypocritical, anti-democracy/our-party-first-isms. Surely Nunes wouldn't be so stupid to claim such an easily disproved lie? Guess we won't know for sure unless the FISA application itself is released.

Unfortunately, you either obey the law and the processes or it becomes unlawful. However the memo is read, it appears that due process was not followed and that political vested interests have contaminated both the DoJ and FBI. So yes, I would think that the FBI and the Democrats will suffer because of this.........
